She Sends Collective is a nonprofit organization (501(c)3 status pending) creating inclusive climbing education and community spaces for women and TGNC (transgender and gender non-conforming) climbers.

Through thoughtfully designed clinics, mentorship opportunities, and community experiences, we aim to make climbing more accessible, empowering, and connected. Our work is rooted in the belief that people learn best when they feel safe enough to explore, ask questions, take risks, and show up fully as themselves.

What began as grassroots women + TGNC specific climbing clinics has grown into a broader vision for what climbing spaces can become: collaborative instead of competitive, supportive instead of intimidating, and grounded in care, autonomy, and community.

As a newly formed nonprofit organization, our hope is that we can expand our impact, deepen accessibility efforts, and continue building sustainable educational opportunities for climbers across all backgrounds and experience levels.

Who We Are

Accessibility Matters

Creating access has always been central to our mission.

Historically, climbing education and outdoor mentorship spaces have not been equally accessible to everyone — financially, culturally, or socially. She Sends actively works to reduce those barriers through tiered pricing models, scholarship opportunities, and intentional community-building.

We believe finances should never be the reason someone is unable to access quality education or supportive outdoor spaces.

Our Impact

Since our founding, She Sends Collective has:

  • Hosted 175+ educational climbing clinics

  • Served 1,200+ women and TGNC climbers

  • Subsidized over $40,000 toward accessible climbing education and safe learning spaces

  • Hosted 3 We Send Climbing Festivals, where we offer free mental health breakout sessions that have served over 100 people alone.

These numbers represent more than participation — they represent people building confidence, finding community, developing technical skills, and discovering new ways to trust themselves in the outdoors.

More Than Climbing

While climbing is the vehicle that brings us together, the heart of She Sends extends far beyond the sport itself.

We believe in the power of community care, shared experience, and spaces where people feel genuinely seen and supported. We believe outdoor education can be transformative when it centers humanity alongside skill-building.

Our vision is to continue growing a climbing community where women and TGNC climbers feel empowered not only to participate — but to lead, mentor, explore, and belong.

Our Approach

At the heart of She Sends is a trauma-conscious approach to education.

We recognize that every climber arrives with different experiences, identities, fears, strengths, and goals. Rather than centering performance alone, our programs prioritize self-trust, communication, autonomy, confidence-building, and meaningful connection — alongside technical climbing education.

Whether someone is touching rock for the first time or pursuing advanced climbing goals, we believe quality education should feel welcoming, supportive, and accessible.

She Sends believes that when women + TGNC climbers are given equitable access to education and supportive environments, they are better equipped to take up space, pursue leadership, and realize their full potential within climbing and beyond.
