About the Event

About Kyra:

Kyra is a professional climber from Minnesota currently living in SLC, Utah who’s been climbing since 2008. After she had completely fallen in love with the sport of climbing, she discovered that she had severe, idiopathic scoliosis. It was devastating news, but she wouldn't let her condition hold her back. On March 12, 2010 she had a spinal fusion surgery to correct her more than 70 degree curvature and took several months to recover. Ten years later, she became one of four American's heading for the Tokyo 2021 Olympcs during Sport Climbing’s debut at the Games. She’s known for her love of animals, reggaeton music, and her explosive climbing style.
